![]() ![]() The paranoid cinema of the ’70s brought out the likes of The Day of the Jackal, while John Woo in the ’80s delivered the blistering The Killer, jumpstarting a Hong Kong tradition of action storytelling carried into today with the likes of director Johnnie To ( Vengeance, Election). The 1960s saw the assassin naturally go international with some stone-cold classics like Jean-Pierre Melville‘s Le Samourai and Seijun Suzuki‘s Branded to Kill. In our guide to the best assassin movies, we’ll witness its smoky origins in film noir, like This Gun for Hire or Murder by Contract, the latter of which Martin Scorsese cites as an early influence. There were quite a lot of parts of the story that I enjoyed immensely, some more than others, but I felt as though the book needed a little more editing done as in it maybe needed to be condensed because this book was long…so so long, and I felt like it didn’t need to be. The performance of the participants was assessed based on the time of completion, as well as the quality of the execution. We have designed a two-part study: an experimental study (with the aim to design the training platform and the training exercises – on synthetic and biological material) and a prospective analytical study, in order to validate the training program by enrolling as participants general surgery residents and specialists, without previous experience in transanal endoscopic interventions. The objective of our study is to develop an effective training platform for transanal endoscopic surgery and to validate a step-by-step training program for learning the basic skills necessary for this approach. ![]() ![]() Ideas about what works well, or different things you can try, are all great.
